Performing Arts

It started out with wondering where the snowflakes in the Lower School winter program were coming from. It then continued to dropping these magical snowflakes for the kids as a senior. Technical Theatre has introduced me to my passion along with my mentor, teacher, and friend: Paul Moffitt. I find great pleasure and satisfaction in bringing fantasy to reality through the work I do behind the scenes. I get to bring actors' dreams to life. This allows them to fully immerse themselves in a world where they can express themselves. I love being able to bring these dreams to life just as I like creating the magic of winter to the Lower School kids."

Germantown Academy's performing arts department provides a foundation in music, drama, theatrical design, and public speaking to all students in PreKindergarten through 12th grade. We provide a curriculum that promotes imagination, an understanding of oneself and others, and clear communication. Our faculty models high standards of performance along with a spirit of kindness and cooperation.
